About Us
Sri Velmurugan Group (VMS) is a trusted name in Ambur, built on decades of dedication, hard work, and strong family values. Our journey began long before the 1940s with a small trading business in Pottery, which laid the foundation for what we are today.
Over the years, we have grown steadily from tailoring materials to general stores, and later expanding into a full-fledged supermarket in 2004. Today, we proudly serve customers with a wide range of groceries, FMCG products, cosmetics, household essentials, baby care, fruits, vegetables, and more.
With the blessings of our elders and the continued support of our customers, VMS has become a reliable destination for quality products, fair pricing, and friendly service. For the past 8 years, we have also embraced digital growth through our online app, making shopping more convenient and accessible.
Our Legacy
We are deeply blessed to carry forward the legacy of our forefathers, whose values and dedication laid the foundation of our journey. We proudly remember and honor (Late) Sri C. Manicka Udayar and (Late) Smt. Kamatchi Ammal, whose vision and strength continue to guide us.
Their family, including M. Selvaraj, M. Nadesan, M. Nagalingam, M. Thiyagarajan, and Mrs. M. Kalaivani, upheld a life rooted in tradition, unity, and hard work. We also gratefully remember (Late) Smt. Amma Kannammal for her sacrifices and contributions to our family.
